Yoga is a philosophy and discipline that can lead a child on the path toward a more calm and balanced mind, as well as build their muscles to create a strong and flexible body. What is learned on the mat, are tools and ideas they can carry into everyday life. Through movement and imagination younger kids will learn poses and the wonders of nature while turning into their favorite animals and objects! Younger classes are fun-filled with games and sequences to their favorite tunes! Older kids will be more challenged in a non-competitive way, without taking themselves too seriously! As kids enter tween and teen years, they choose screen time over wellness, especially those that feel intimidated by group sports. Yoga is a great way of discovering their own strengths and growing from within.


Mom & Baby Dynamic Duo

Take the time for yourself, while bonding with your child and gathering with others who can relate and support you. A Hybrid of both Yoga and Sculpt, we will find our inner core muscles that are stretched and weakened during pregnancy. You will find your breath, move thru sequences, and reactivate your abdominal muscles to strengthen and heal yourself postnatally. Learn some simple baby exercises to help aid in digestion, development, and sleep. Class ends in a savasana (or sometimes feeding moment), but either way connects you to the amazing you that you are! Dads are always welcome! Class is 1 hour.

IslandOM Minis — Monkey See/Monkey Do!!!

These are the Dora and Diegos, The Elsa and The Anna’s, or The Teen Titans of the World! It’s all about exploration, and learning what our bodies can do! Each class is playful with a new adventure everytime! Thru different games they will learn to build focus and strengthen their bodies. Thru relaxation techniques, they can learn how to calm their minds and bodies while building social skills. Story time or art projects are part of the flow. Class is 45 min.

YoTeenis

We know now more than ever, how Tweens and Teens are under so much stress with remote learning, and lack of exercise. This is a great way to allow them to express themselves individually, and not succumb to peer pressure. Class will be fun while focusing on the foundations of Yoga; Breathwork; Flowing Sequences; Strengthening and Flexibility of the Body and the Mind. They will have opportunities to challenge themselves thru Balance Poses and Inversions; Partner Pose Play and “Dance Your Asana Off” will be part of every class. They will be encouraged to develop and address positive self esteem thru learning the benefits of Yoga, and ending class with Meditation.
Ages 13–17 - (Class will be added to schedule based on interest - please inquire)


Parent & Child Yoga Play

Partner with your Toddler or Young Child, in a fun and playful Yoga Adventure. We’ll explore animal postures, breathing techniques, and balancing poses! This class will give your child the beginning tools of body awareness, connection to breath, confidence, mindfulness, strengthening our muscles, and learning to regulate our emotions. It’s a great way to bond with your child and develop a playful practice to do together at home!
Ages 2yrs–5 yrs - (Class will be added to schedule based on interest - please inquire)


IslandOM Kids

These yogis are growing fast and curious about everything they hear and see! Kids will strengthen not just their bodies, but their minds too! Through short sequences, fun games, and mindfulness, they will discover the benefits of yoga. Kids can grow physically and emotionally as they learn to have compassion and respect others individuality! Class is 45 minutes.

Tween Power of OM

This is the best of Both Worlds for those Tweens! Yoga meets Barre in this fun and active high energy class! Shake your Asana to fun beats while building strength, and challenging those growing muscles. Class will end with a cool down, stretch and relaxing meditation.
Ages 10–12 (9 yo by invite only) - (Class will be added to schedule based on interest - please inquire)


In-School & After-School Programs

Yoga is a great tool for students of all ages. It is not only an introduction to some who never tried it, but the mindfulness techniques, poses, and breath work can help with anxiety, stress, socialization, awareness, and self-confidence.
